We cleaned some tile today for a customer that decided to go with a company that used a chemical process to clean their pool tile tile. The before picture was taken approximately 2 months after they paid to have their tile cleaned. Horrible results!
We were able to clean the tile in just a few hours and the customer was very happy with us.

San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning

Chances are if you have a swimming pool or fountain that doesn´t look as clean and bright as it did when it was new, you have calcium deposits. Calcium deposits create that ugly white line around the tile, stone, or decorative concrete surrounding your pool or fountain. The good news is, with proper cleaning procedures, your pool or fountain can look bright and clean again.
Let´s take a minute to discuss how that calcium gets onto the surface of your pool. Swimming pools and fountains are constructed from concrete and plaster that contains calcium. That calcium is always looking for a way to get into the water where the calcium level is lower. Calcium leaches into your water through the plaster. In places where the gunite (the concrete under the plaster) is covered with tile or stone, the calcium still wants to get through. The easiest way for the calcium to leach into the water is through the softer grout lines. When this happens you will notice places where the calcium looks as if it were dripping out of the tile or stone. You probably notice calcium in other areas, such as the waterline tile, just above the water level, and areas surrounding water features and spillways. In these areas, water-containing calcium is splashed onto the surface of the tile and stone. When the water evaporates, the calcium is left behind, causing the white staining. Areas with hot dry climates, accompanied by high calcium levels, have pools and fountains that become stained with the calcium in as little as a few months.
Proper test kits will allow pool owners to identify high levels of calcium in their pool or fountain´s water. Removing the calcium from the water can be accomplished in one of two ways. Simply draining a portion of your pool and refilling with fresh water or removing the calcium through reverse osmosis (RO). RO may be the better option for pool owners in areas where the water is high in calcium right from the tap.
Removing those stains can be extremely difficult. There are chemical cleaners, and pumice stones. These are effective for very small areas, but are simply not effective for removing the stains present in most pools. Professional cleaning is going to be the best option for pool owners looking to get rid of those stains. Your pool or fountain can look new again in just a few hours. San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning uses the proper equipment that will yield great results. Removing the calcium stains is accomplished by using an abrasive media in conjunction with air pressure. High-pressure water techniques our competition uses can produce great results, but can also result in damage to your tile or grout. This is a common technique used by professionals. These systems are simple to use and are less expensive than the high volume low-pressure alternatives. The low- pressure air systems are very expensive, however they often produce the best results. With variable pressure and multiple selections of blast media, these systems can safely remove calcium stains from your pool or fountain. The media is non-toxic, will not harm your pets or plants, and does not change the PH levels of your pool´s water. The clean up is simple and your pool will be clean and sparkling, ready to swim the same day.
